This one is an absolutely essential read. This story is about a pack of stray dogs whose leader is Don living on the beaches of Mumbai. Everyday life is hard for these poor dogs, having to face the harsh elements such as the sun and the sea while struggling for meals everyday along with some crooked humans who take out their frustration on them. Things change when the gang find Shingmo - kind of like the protagonist. The pack and Don become upset “another mouth to feed?” they think.

Although Shingmo is the main character, every other dog of the pack has their own character outline with background stories, unique traits and prominent characteristics. The story has a few human characters as well. The beautiful and fantastic illustrations in this book perfectly complement the story. That’s it, we do not want to spoil it for you, this one is surely an adventurous and heartwarming tale and we cannot stress how good it is. Be sure to check it out.
